Congratulations to Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation, and the entire project team, on the official opening of Commerce Crossings Business Center!
Our civil engineering team provided the site planning, surveying and civil engineering services for the permitting, infrastructure design, including utilities and roadways, for the development of the Commerce Crossing, 230± acre, rail served, Business Park. The project faced the significant challenge of extending the sanitary sewer to serve both the Westinghouse-Waltz Mill site and the Commerce Crossing Park. In addition, the existing roadway network was insufficient to accommodate the transportation needs of the business park, and required substantial upgrades. The project also involved extensive Sewage Facilities Planning including writing and implementation of a new Act 537 plan for portions of Sewickley and South Huntingdon Townships, and the planning, design and permitting of two 1 MGD Sewage Pump Stations and approximately 3 miles of dual 4-inch force main.
Our team members were proud to have the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, and we are excited to work with WCIDC for current and future industrial park developments in the Westmoreland County!
