US Bankruptcy Court

New design/build 65,000 SF, five-story courthouse building and renovation  of an existing three-story, 25,000 SF  historic schoolhouse. The project was designed to meet the anticipated space requirements of 2010 for the US District Court, US Bankruptcy Court, and several federal agencies, while also providing a new consolidated retail facility for the Postal Service.

  • Magistrate Courtroom that can also be used for Bankruptcy jury trials and Grand Jury proceedings

  • Private Offices
  • Public Lobbies
The Project included:
  • Three new modular gas-fired hot water boilers
  • Water source heat pumps
  • Carbon monoxide detection system
  • Direct Digital Control system
  • New gas-fired domestic hot water boiler and storage tank
  • Automatic wet fire sprinkler system
  • New pad-mounted transformer and underground service to a new main distribution switchboard
  • New diesel-fired emergency generator
  • Various new lighting
  • New fire alarm system
  • New state-of-the-art communications system
  • Security system including: surveillance cameras, door contacts, key pads, duress alarms, remote unlocking features, electric strikes, consoles, and monitoring stations
