  • 40-story office tower
  • Project was undertaken in support of the Owner’s goal to sustain operation of the 1.1 million SF building for the next 30 years
  • For this project, HFL’s responsibilities consisted of:
    • Planning the detailed engineering design to replace the electrical distribution equipment
    • Exploring design options and developing multiple concepts
    • Discussing with Owner the pros/cons of each alternative
    • Creating the final design including phased construction packages and budgetary cost estimates
    • Preliminary short circuit calculations
    • Assisting Owner in the bidding process
    • Providing technical assistance in the permit process
    • Providing Construction Administration services
    • Scheduling installation to minimize power outages
    • Providing on-site personnel for coordination of power outages with building management
