- Project was undertaken in support of the Owner’s goal to sustain operation of the 1.1 million SF building for the next 30 years
- For this project, HFL’s responsibilities consisted of:
- Planning the detailed engineering design to replace the electrical distribution equipment
- Exploring design options and developing multiple concepts
- Discussing with Owner the pros/cons of each alternative
- Creating the final design including phased construction packages and budgetary cost estimates
- Preliminary short circuit calculations
- Assisting Owner in the bidding process
- Providing technical assistance in the permit process
- Providing Construction Administration services
- Scheduling installation to minimize power outages
- Providing on-site personnel for coordination of power outages with building management
