We are so excited to see all of the progress taking place at Susquenna Union Green. We are proud to be a part of the team for this new 58-acre, mixed-use development that incorporates multiple restaurants and retail spaces, a new senior living center, and multiple parks.
Final inspection for the new Harmony at Harts Run Development was recently completed for their new 200,000+ SF, 193-unit senior living (Independent/ Assisted Living & Memory Care) development on a 10+ acre site in Glenshaw, PA. Our team provided surveying, civil engineering design and permitting services for the project. Engineering services included site layout, grading and drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, coordination of site utilities, Highway Occupancy Permitting through PennDOT District-12, wetland and floodplain mitigation, site approvals and construction phase services for Smith/Packett, a Virginia & South Carolina based developer.
We are excited to see this project moving forward! H.F. Lenz Company provided the structural and civil engineering services for the construction of this new wall. Our history with Gautier Steel goes back much further though. In 2015, we provided the engineering and project management services for the installation of a single-stand plate rolling mill that was relocated from Gadsden, Alabama to the Johnstown facility. Our experience with these buildings dates back more than 40 years, to days when they were owned and operated by Bethlehem Steel. We are thrilled to continue to be a part of the improvements, adaptive re-use and renovations of these facilities that have played a huge role in our heritage and continue to be a critical part of the City of Johnstown!
Johnstown Tribune Democrat Article, October 31, 2021:
JOHNSTOWN, PA. – Gautier Steel Ltd.’s sprawling industrial facility in downtown Johnstown will soon have a new face to show to the public.
The company’s 100-year-old, dilapidated brick security wall that stretched along 900 feet of Washington Street has been removed, and a new block wall is under construction.
The old wall dated back to the time when Bethlehem Steel Company first took over Cambria Steel, expanded the Gautier plant’s operations and built new facilities for the company along Washington Street. Today, though Bethlehem Steel is gone, Gautier Steel continues its presence in the area, producing hot rolled steel.
The company expects construction of the new wall along the boundary of its facility to be complete in a few weeks, Gautier President and CEO Glenn Buckley said.
