Check out this great article on the new Headquarters for Great Lake Cheese, which is featured in this month’s Properties Magazine (pages 15-25).
Thank you to our architectural partner, Vocon, for the opportunity to be a part of this project, and to all of our in-house team members who contributed to the success of the project!
This beautiful new $20 million, 55,000 sq.ft. Headquarters was designed to accommodate up to 240 employees and houses an Innovation Center, Testing Kitchen and Design Lab. The open two-story atrium features floor-to-ceiling windows, a café and a training room that can accommodate up to 100 persons. The building also houses a variety of open collaboration spaces, a board room, 32 meeting/conference spaces, cubicles and private offices, as well as an outdoor covered terrace with views of the 90-acre campus.
Our Ohio office, led by George A. McMillan IV, P.E., provided the MEP/FP engineering services for the project. In addition to the building systems design, a hydronic snowmelt system was provided at several sidewalk and exterior gathering areas. The design also included EV charging, LED lighting, and a building-wide dimming system.
